The Huneebee Project

Jim donated a laptop to The Huneebee Project located in New Haven Connecticut. Jim met with the founder, Sarah Taylor, a clinical social worker and beekeeper, to deliver the laptop. The Huneebee Project was started in 2018 and works with teens who have received assistance from Child Protective Services. It guides and supports the teens as they engage in the Beekeepers in Residence therapeutic job skills training program to maintain 40 honey bee colonies. The Huneebee Project employs the youth participants in various positions such as garden site managers, operations assistants, bee apprentices, and peer instructors.
